The "New YOU" is just a thought away.

Have you ever had one of those days?

You know the kind I'm talking about ,,,,you wake up, and your first thought is UGH! You start thinking about how tired you are, and all the things you have to do in the day flood your brain ,,,and the anxiety begins. So you go through your day, managing the best you can, only to do it all again the very next day, continuing this cycle of suck, calling it life, and wondering why your life isn't changing no matter how hard you try.

Can you relate to this?

Most of us can, and I will tell you why.

Our brain is a record of the past. It only knows what the body has experienced up until this very moment. It is designed to keep us "safe" and alive. It likes when we have a routine, as there is no danger in the present "known."

Now, when we have a thought, an emotion is usually tied to that thought. With emotions, come many different chemicals that flood our body, For instance, anger and fear releases adrenaline, stress releases cortisol, happiness releases dopamine, to name just a few.

When we continue to have the same thoughts, we are releasing the same chemicals in our bodies on a consistent basis, causing our bodies to remain in this state of UGH.

For example: a person has a very traumatic experience happen to them. The emotion attached to the event is so profound, that the brain steps in and says," Hold on ,,,we don't want this to happen again!"

so the brain takes a snapshot, and that is called a memory.

Every time that person thinks about this traumatic experience, the body has the same chemical reaction as when the event actually occurred.

Are you still with me?

This creates a distinct neuro pathway also, as neurons that fire together, wire together. Our brains become a hard-wired program that will run behind the scenes as an unconscious program. If we are stuck in that memory, our bodies are in constant stress living out that memory in real time.

So how do we change our present reality, and find joy in our lives?

We start to become aware of what our thoughts are, and challenge them with new, impactful, positive thoughts. We speak as if what we desire in life is already here!

Forget the memory ,,,,focus on the emotion of that experience, feel it, challenge it, and exchange it for a new mantra; "I am a strong, loving gift to this world. I have overcome so much, and I am healed."

Your brain is so objective, it doesn't know if your thoughts are present, or from the past. It focuses on the emotion and chemical signals it is receiving from these thoughts.

If your thoughts are in the past, you will continue to live in the past with all the emotions that come with it.

If you talk to yourself in the present tense ("I am"), as if you are already living that life, your brain will respond with different chemicals and a higher vibration to attract more beauty into your experience

Everything is energy. Our thoughts produce waves and ripples out into the Universe.

If you desire a change in your life, YOU must actually change. You cannot create something new, if you are not willing to let go of the old.

Remember, everything you have experienced in this life was not to hurt you, but to teach you something. Look for the lesson, not the pain.

Keep your thoughts in check, and exude gratitude for everything in your life, including being thankful for the things that you desire, that you haven't physically experienced yet, and watch your life change.
